We offer a dedicated EU-hosted version of Snoooz for customers who require their data to be stored within the European Union.
This version is designed for businesses with strict data residency requirements and provides EU-based infrastructure for core application data and AI processing.
Below is a transparent overview of what’s included today, what’s not yet included, and what’s planned for the future.
✅ What Is Stored in the EU
When using the Snoooz EU version, the following are hosted and processed within the European Union:
1. Application Data
All your core Snoooz data is stored in European data centers, including:
Drafts
Replies
Templates
User-generated content
Workspace data
Application configuration data
This data is hosted in EU multi-region infrastructure (Belgium & Netherlands, with Finland as witness region), ensuring high availability while remaining within the EU.
2. Email Integrations & OAuth Tokens
All email integration data is stored in the EU, including:
OAuth access & refresh tokens
Email metadata
Synced email-related data
Integration configuration
This data is stored and processed within EU infrastructure. No OAuth tokens or synced email metadata from EU accounts are stored outside the European Union.
3. Backend Processing
All backend operations for the EU version run exclusively in EU servers (Belgium region), including:
Data processing
API handling
Automation workflows
Background jobs
No backend application processing for EU accounts runs outside the EU.
4. AI Processing (Google Gemini – EU Endpoint)
All AI-generated content (drafts, replies, summaries, etc.) is processed using Google Gemini’s EU endpoint (Europe-West1).
This means:
Prompts you submit
Drafts generated
AI responses
Content transformations
are processed within the EU infrastructure.
5. Secrets & Infrastructure Security
All application secrets and secure configuration data for the EU version are stored in EU-based infrastructure (Belgium region).
⚠️ What Is Not Fully EU-Scoped
Firebase Authentication (Login System)
User authentication (email/password login, OAuth providers, etc.) is handled by Firebase Authentication.
At this time, Firebase Authentication operates on a global infrastructure and cannot be region-locked to the EU.
Important clarification:
This affects authentication services only.
Your core application data, email integrations, OAuth tokens, email username and password (if using IMAP), AI prompts, and generated content remain stored in the EU.
No drafts, workspace data, or AI-generated content are stored outside the EU.
Google has an open initiative to provide EU-regionalized authentication. Whenever that becomes available, we plan to offer fully EU-based authentication as well.
🔄 Migration Between Standard and EU Versions
Currently, automatic migration between the standard (US/global) version and the EU version is not supported.
However, you can:
Export your data (templates, rules, categories etc) from the US app
Create a new account in the EU version
Import your data
Contact us to permanently delete your original US account
If you need assistance with this process, we’re happy to help.

🔮 What’s Planned for the Future
We are actively monitoring infrastructure improvements and plan to:
Offer EU-based authentication once supported by Firebase
Continue increasing regional isolation where technically possible
Expand compliance and transparency documentation
Our goal is to provide a fully EU-contained architecture as platform capabilities evolve.
